Glocal After School (venture of Glocal Pvt. Ltd.) is organizing a business idea pitching competition in collaboration with ILO.

Business Idea Pitching Competition provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs from all backgrounds to present their business ideas and gain valuable feedback from a panel of experts in the field. We are looking for creative ideas that have the potential to solve real-world problems and create positive social impact.

Competition Overview: 

A business idea pitching competition is a platform where participants pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges. Our goal is to provide a platform to young people to showcase their ideas, receive feedback and validation. Also, help in their business by supporting meaningful relationships, professional and personal growth, networking, and workshops. Driven youth could take part  to connect with and learn from the leading industry experts’ fresh ideas. Young people have a lot of creative energy and are eager to follow their ideas, therefore business idea pitching competitions could assist them in finding investors so they can make their dreams a reality.

Why participate in this competition? 

• This idea pitching competitions allow you to connect with other entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors. As well as it will help you gain exposure and make valuable connections that will help your future growth.
• Pitching your business idea in front of a panel of judges can help validate it. This can provide you with the confidence and credibility you need to move forward with your vision.
• Prize money will be awarded to the winners of pitching competitions, which can help provide seed funding for your business. This is especially true for early-stage startups that are just getting started.

Who can participate?

The competition is open to Nepali individuals and teams from age group 18 – 29 years from all sectors and industries. Whether you have a tech startup, a social enterprise, or a sustainable business idea, we want to hear from you.

General Guidelines:

1. Individuals or Teams are eligible for participation in this competition.
2. To participate in the competition, all you need to do is submit a brief description of your business idea through our online portal. The submission should be done not later than March 10, 2023.
3. Our team of judges will review all submissions and select the top entries to participate in the final round.
4. In the final round, participants will have the opportunity to present their business idea to the judging panel in a pitch event on March 18, 2023.

Rules for the Pitching Day:

1. The allocated time for the presentation of the business plan will be 5 minutes.
2. Additional 05 minutes will be given for Question and answering session. 
3. The teams must submit their presentation in MS PowerPoint prior to the competition date (on or before 15th March 2023).
4. Business plan can be presented single or as a group.

Judging Panel & Criteria:

The judging panel will consist of seasoned entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders who will provide feedback and guidance to help participants refine their ideas.

Prize:

The winning pitch will receive cash prize NRs. 25,000, mentorship opportunities, and access to our network of industry experts and investors. In addition, all participants will receive feedback and constructive criticism to help them improve their business ideas and take their ventures to the next level.
