Welcome to the Cultural Animation Competition

Competition Overview

The Cultural Animation Competition invites young creators to breathe new life into Nepal’s rich folktales through the magic of 2D animation. Using free tools such as Blender, Krita, OpenToonz, Pencil2D, or Animaker, participants will create a short 30–60 second animated clip based on any Nepali folktale (e.g., Kumari, Yeti, Khyak, stories of the Kirat, Newar, Tharu, or any other Nepali community).
