First Draft Submission
Introduction to the Competition.
National Case Study Competition, organized by Glocal After School, is an annual competition that is an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their understanding of the most pressing issues facing today’s businesses in the nation, and to be part of the conversation on how to create a more sustainable economy and society. The competition is focused on the themes of Green Ecosystem, International Connectivity and Sustainable Economy, and it encourages student’s engagement in sustainable business practices.
The winning team will be awarded a cash prize and will have the opportunity to present their findings to industry leaders. But the competition is more than just a prize, it’s a chance to apply your classroom learning to real-world problems, and develop valuable skills in critical thinking, research, and communication.
To participate, assemble a team of 2-4 members and select a business from your community or region to study. You will then prepare a case study detailing the business’ sustainable initiatives, the impact they have had on the company and the community. The teams will present the case study to a panel of industry experts, who will evaluate the entries based on the quality of the research, analysis, and recommendations.
We connect students and companies in solving real-life challenges fostering Industry-Academia Collaboration and this is therefore a platform for students across the nation to exercise their current skill sets while simultaneously gaining new inspiration and expanding their horizons.
National Case Study Competition 2023 is comprised of these rounds:
The participants will be judged on the quality of the case chosen, the articulateness of the case- written, and the intent behind choosing that case. The teams will be challenged in assessing the real-life issues organizations are facing today, analyzing available information, crafting solutions, and defending their recommendations in front of a jury of business leaders here in Nepal.
The winning team will receive cash prize NRs. 50,000 at the closing ceremony of Skill Week 2023.
All teams have to solve a real-life business case. The teams need to register their names for the competition prior, along with the name of the company your team is going to conduct the case study.
From all the solutions, the top 10 teams will continue to the semifinals hosted as a case study presentation during Skill Fest on March 18, 2023.
The top 4 teams from the semifinals with the best solutions, handpicked by a panel of experienced judges, will be invited to the CEO Unplugged 2023. They will present their case in front of industry leaders and experts.
The winning team will be announced during the event.
