The Poem Competition for Skill Week 2025 invites poets and literary enthusiasts to showcase their talent, creativity, and passion for verse. This competition is an opportunity to celebrate the art of poetry, inspire original expression, and connect with a community that values literary craftsmanship. The competition aims to promote creative writing and poetic excellence, encouraging participants to explore themes that resonate deeply with contemporary society or timeless human experiences. Join the On-site Poem Competition happening at Embark College, on January 10th.
Why Participate in the Poem Competition?
This competition is a great opportunity for young poets to express their creativity and share their unique voices. If you’re passionate about poems and eager to showcase your work, join us to perform in front of an appreciative audience and connect with other talented poets!
Eligibility Requirements:
- Open to Nepali citizens only.
- Participants must be aged 16-25.
- Poems can be on any theme of the writer’s choice.
Participation Process:
- Interested poets should submit their original poems online for initial review.
- Only selected poets will be invited to perform their pieces live at the event.
- Poems should be the original work of the participant and reflect their creative vision.
- Each poet will have up to 5 minutes to perform on stage.
Event Guidelines:
- Selected participants will be notified in advance and will need to bring any personal materials required for their performance.
- Poets can present only one poem during the live performance.
Capacity and Registration:
10 participants will be chosen for the live performance, based on the quality of submitted poems.
Prize: The winning poet will receive a cash prize of NPR 5000.
