Thanka Painting is a traditional art that evolved between 7th and 12th centuries in Nepal and Tibet which are believed to create positive influences in surroundings. It is an object of devotion, an aid to spiritual practice, and a source of blessings.
It is believed that every Thanka art have story behind it, Thanka is more than just a work of art. Thus, this workshop will help us to understand the story behind various types of art. The workshop will embed the detailed process of making Thanka art like making the cloth where the art is designed, how the story is made, coloring ideas, etc. along with the scope and growing market of Thanka in world scenario.
