Workshop Overview

By the end of the workshop, participants will have a basic understanding of WordPress

development and the skills needed to build a simple WordPress site on their own. They

will also be equipped with the knowledge to troubleshoot common issues that may

arise, and be able to customize their site’s appearance and functionality.

Learning Outcomes

• Introduction to coding concepts: Participants will be introduced to basic coding concepts like HTML and CSS, and learn how they apply to WordPress development.
• Building a simple WordPress site: Participants will learn how to build a simple WordPress site from scratch, including how to install and configure WordPress and how to create basic pages and posts.
• Customizing WordPress themes: Participants will learn how to customize a WordPress theme by making simple changes to the code, such as changing colors and fonts.
• Adding functionality with plugins: Participants will learn how to add new features and functionality to their WordPress site using plugins, and how to choose and install plugins that meet their specific needs.
• Troubleshooting common issues: Throughout the workshop, participants will learn how to troubleshoot common issues that arise in WordPress development, such as broken links and missing images.
